It really felt like spring yesterday and I got to go to a little bass and bream pond!!! As soon as we got there I was ready to fish I had everything rigged and ready. I was using a Texas rigged three-inch Yum Dinger. I ran out to one of my favorite spots, made one cast and caught nothing. I made another cast slowed it down a little and caught a little bass (the one in the picture). I made a few more casts then moved on to the next good spot. I didn't catch any there. I moved on to the last spot that has been working for me on about 50-degree days. I got one hit there that I think was a bream from the way it hit. I moved over just a little bit and caught another little bass. Then I moved on to the spot that I had caught one before. Once I got there I had one fish slapping at it a lot on one retrieve. I cast out again and caught one that I bet was the same hungry little fish. I was using very light tackle ,which made them fun to fight even though they we little. Texas rigged Yum Dingers are one of the best baits for lots of things, and catching bass and bream on a pond is definitely one of them.
Spring is coming! (even though it is snowing out right now)
