My First Rainbow Trout of 2014

 This weekend a friend and I fished the Tuckasegee River. When we got to the river it kind of looked and felt like a mini blizzard, fortunately that didn't last very long! The fishing wasn't amazing, but I was still thrilled with the two fish that I did catch. The main reason that I was so happy about my catches was that I hadn't caught a rainbow or brook trout this year before then. Another reason is that they where only the second and third fish that I had caught all year! The rainbow trout that I caught was about two pounds, not huge but a lot of fun and by far my biggest fish of 2014!
