White River Fun



I had an awesome time fishing from Gaston's White River Resort for the past couple of days. Wednesday was an especially great day of fishing. We began the day with Gaston's guide Richie Hayes. Combined dad and I caught about 25 rainbows. We caught most of our fish on Rebel and XCalibur jerkbaits.



And our guide could not have been better. The combination of his knowledge for catching fish in the White River and his friendly down to earth personality made him one of the best guides I have ever had the pleasure of fishing with.





The wind was blowing hard and giving Richie a really hard time on the water so we went ahead and called it a day at lunch...well kind of. After lunch we went out and waded some of the same shoals we had been fishing from boat earlier. We caught about 20 rainbows that way. We caught all of our fish with with small jigs.
