There are a lot of reasons that this is my favorite time of the year. One of my reasons is that my birthday is today. Another big reason is that it's an awesome time of year to fish ponds and small lakes.
For the most part the fish are shallow and aggressive, the bass, bream, and usually anything else that lives in the pond.
It's the prefect time of year to catch them on buzzbaits, plastic worms, crappie jigs, crankbaits...in other words it's a great time of year to catch them on anything you want to catch them on.
Plus, can you think of a better place to spend a hot May day? I can't.
