Today my dad, little brother, and I did our last fishing of 2011. My dad asked me this morning if I would like to go fishing one more time this year, which is like asking a dog if it want to eat a hot dog. So we headed to the pond at about 10:00 with my little brother Asher. I decided even though I had caught a lot on the middle pond the other day since we had plenty of time to fish we would go ahead and fish the upper pond for a little while before we headed to the next pond. Right off the bat dad caught a fish on one of the new
Yum F2 Panfish Tad Fry shortly after that I caught the fish that is in the picture on a
Gene Larew 5" Salt Head Shaky Worm rigged on a
Jewel Squirel Head.
After that we didn't catch anything for a while, so we got out and dragged the canoe down to the lower pond. Right after we got there I caught one fish on a Bobby Garland Baby Shad; however, that turned out to be the only fish we caught there. So we dragged the canoe back up the hill, which, by the way, is much easier to do with Dad's help. We fished the upper pond for about an hour longer and caught two more fish.
Even though it might not sound like an award-winning fishing trip, I thought fishing with my dad and brother was a perfect way to end my fishing year!
