Bug Blog

Last time my dad and I went to the pond we didn't catch many bass or brim. However there was a lot of indication that the fish where feeding because we kept seeing fish mostly brim eating small bugs off of the surface. My opinion is that very possibly the reason that we did not catch many fish was because the fish where feeding on the insects. I think it very possible that the fish were so keyed-in on the insects that they really had no interest or need to eat anything other than the incests. Next time dad and I make a visit to the pond we will or at least I will be fishing with a fly rod to see if I can imitate the insects that they are feeding on and hopefully catch a bunch of brim and bass.

That being said it may have had absolutely nothing to do with the insects. They may have just not  been biting. Hopefully I will find out soon!
