A couple weeks ago it looked like the Georgia small pond bass were finally transitioning into spring mode after months and months of waiting. But now it seems that some recent cold, rainy, and windy days have slowed the fish way down.
My last two pond outings have yielded a grand total of zero fish! Fishing mostly with the same things that had been so effective just a couple of weeks earlier. By theory in Georgia the fish get more aggressive as you head toward spring, but it seems that these pond bass have totally forgotten about that rule!
However yesterday while fishing the pond I saw several bass around the bank and even had a couple of bites. So I remain hopeful that after a few sunny days the fish will begin to be aggressive again!

P.S. Totally unrelated I would like to mention that my little brother Asher learned why swimming in a pond in February is a really bad idea!
