The Dread of 16

Pretty much the only thing that I don't like about the idea of turning 16 next May is the fact that after that I won't be able to fish Dry Run Creek anymore. I mean the driving and everything is a cool concept, but not being able to fish your favorite water is really a bummer.

But there is really nothing that I can do about it other than savoring and making the most of the last few opportunities that I get to fish Dry Run.

 

One of those opportunities came for me on Saturday morning when I got to fish Dry Run for a few hours. The fish weren't being very aggressive but I still managed to catch a couple of brown trout and a big beautiful cutthroat trout that is in the pictures. I caught all of my fish on a Lindy Fuzz-E Grub. The rod that I was using was a Lews 6/6 Medium/Heavy Laser SL Speed Stick.
