One of the things that we tend to do a lot in my family to celebrate birthdays is fishing, usually fishing at a pond for bass and bream. Since my dad was busy and I wasn't the morning of my brother Asher's ninth birthday, I decided that a pond outing was in order. We had a great time. He caught a bass, I caught a few bream, and I let him drive my jon boat around the pond a few times just for icing on the cake. But really I got the best present....
This is by far the biggest fish that I have ever caught out of this pond. We are guessing that she is about eight pounds. I caught the fish on a 4-inch Green Pumpkin Yum Mighty Worm rigged on a Jewel Squirrel Head.
This definitely goes down as one of my favorite birthday fishing outings ever, and it wasn't even my birthday!
