For me it's always good sign to catch a bass on a buzzbait! I caught my first topwater fish of 2014 and it was also the first bass I have caught from my favorite pond this year. Both of those are really encouraging signs to me!
I am sure looking forward to the weather, water, and fishing heating up over the next few weeks!
