There was only thing that was hard about the fishing at The King Fisher Society on Richmond Mill Lake. That was deciding whether to fish mostly with my ultralight bluegill rod trying to catch bream anywhere from 1 to 3 pounds, or whether to fish with my bass rod and consistently catch very fat 3- to 6-pound bass. After a little bit of fishing I decided that since it seemed like the bass were biting a little better than the bream I would fish for the big bass. It turned out that it was a good decision because I caught about lots of bass and I probably caught 5 different bass that weighed 5 pounds or more. I caught all of my fish on a Yum Houdini Shad (with a shortened and forked tail) rigged weightless on a Daiichi Hook.
Along with the fishing, I also enjoyed getting to take a ride a ride around that lake on a big pontoon boat and learning lake history directly from the family that owns the lake and lodge.
